Jagex Games Studio appoints Phil White as VP of 8Realms
Jagex today announced that Phil White has joined the company as Vice President of 8Realms
Cambridge, UK - Thursday 9 June 2011 — Jagex Games Studio, the UK's largest independent games developer and publisher, today announced that Phil White has joined the company as Vice President of 8Realms. White, who has extensive industry experience spanning two decades, has been appointed to oversee the development of 8Realms, Jagex's new empire-building strategy game, which is currently operating in Closed Beta.
"I have been following the rise of Jagex for the last decade and I'm delighted to get the opportunity to join the team," commented Phil White. "Jagex's history and experience, and the company's vision for the future with RuneScape, Transformers and Stellar Dawn meant that joining Jagex was a real no-brainer for me. Prior to joining Jagex, White worked for Perfect World Entertainment as the Director of Operations in Europe. Having previously worked for Electronic Arts, Codemasters and Persistent Worlds, White has overseen the launch of ten MMOGs across Europe and North America and has supported the development and operation of a further nine MMOGs and numerous PC and console titles.
