For the security and enjoyment of all players, we require users of our site to adhere to the Jagex game rules. We penalise rule-breakers with temporary bans or in-game chat mutes, and we use permanent bans and mutes for persistent offenders.
If you feel we have applied a ban or mute to your account in error, you can appeal via the offence history page. We use two pillars on this page to represent the ban and mute status of your account, each divided into three progressive colour zones as follows:
Beneath the pillars, we display a list of the offences you have committed over the past twelve months, including the evidence for the offence where available. Each offence will remain on your account for twelve months, and you can appeal at any time by clicking the appeal button next to any offence. Your appeal will be reviewed by Player Support as soon as possible, and if successful, the penalty and all record of the offence will be removed from your account.
Normally we provide just one opportunity to appeal each offence. For long-term members of the Jagex community we may provide a second opportunity to appeal 21 days after the rejection of an initial appeal.
When appealing an offence, please take the time to review the evidence thoroughly and refer to the Jagex game rules.
