Finding ways to ‘Be Kind to your Mind’ this year
This year many people have cited burnout, high-stress levels at work and anxiety as having a huge impact on their mental health. That’s why, as always, Jagex remains committed to helping our gaming communities wherever possible by amplifying the important messages of our mental health charity partners - CPSL Mind, Rise Above the Disorder, and our diversity charity partner, Blueprint For All. This year, all proceeds from our World Mental Health Day campaign bundles were donated to support their fantastic causes.
Following on from World Mental Health Day earlier this month, Jagex has been working with Better Health - Every Mind Matters on its ‘Be kind to your mind’ campaign. The campaign encourages and helps us to be kind to our minds - amplifying the small things we can do every day which can make a big difference to our mental wellbeing.
Making time for mental wellbeing and self-care is particularly important in today’s busy world - and embedding these small things as part of your routine can help you feel better and more in control. We recommend the following:
Taking time to do mindful breathing by breathing in and out slowly
Planning an hour of screen-free time before bed
Reviewing your to-do list and breaking down your biggest tasks into smaller, easier-to-manage chunks
Taking a walk
Seeing or getting in contact with a friend or loved one
In the coming weeks, we will be amplifying this campaign to our players across our social media channels to help support them with struggles they might be facing and ensure they have the right resources, content and tips to help them improve their wellbeing.
