(London, 24 June, 2025) Canadian guitarist and producer Cole Rolland has joined forces with legendary RuneScape veteran, Mod Ash, to release a new rock medley of music from RuneScape. An official music video is available now and the full song is available to stream and purchase on digital music platforms as part of RuneScape: RuneFest Rock Medley (deluxe version). 

The RuneScape Rock Medley features rock renditions of classic RuneScape songs such as Harmony, Inferno and Sea Shanty 2, written and performed by Cole Rolland, and accompanied by Mod Ash on violin. Today’s release of the official music video and rock medley follows an iconic opening ceremony performance from Cole Rolland and Mod Ash at Runefest 2025, a RuneScape convention which celebrated its 10th anniversary this year to packed audiences at the National Exhibition Centre (NEC) in Birmingham, UK.

Rolland’s involvement with RuneScape is a full-circle moment for the musician, who has spent more than 20 years playing Jagex’s MMORPG.

RuneScape has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember, so getting to contribute to the world I’ve spent so many years immersed in is truly a dream come true. Performing live at RuneFest with the legendary Mod Ash was nothing short of surreal. Ash has given so much to my favorite game, and it was an honor to share in his rock star moment on stage. The energy in that room and hearing directly from the community in person is something I’ll never forget. As a lifelong fan, the music video we created is especially exciting for me because it brings together everything I love in one place: heavy music, cinematic visuals, and RuneScape. I hope the players love it as much we do!

Rolland is best known for publishing guitar covers of popular heavy metal and dubstep songs on his YouTube channel, where he has amassed over 300 million views and more than 1.5 million followers. Mod Ash has spent more than 20 years working at RuneScape’s developer Jagex as a moderator and product manager, leading him to becoming a household name amongst the RuneScape community. He was one of the key architects of Old School RuneScape but has also contributed music to both versions of the game.
