THE RUNESCAPE FUTURE TALENT JAM STARTS NOW

For more than two decades, RuneScape has inspired players through adventure, creativity, and storytelling. As we celebrate 25 years of RuneScape, we're investing in the next generation of game makers through the RS25 Future Talent Pathway, a mentorship and development programme created in partnership with Into Games.

The initiative is designed to help young people take their first steps into the games industry, providing opportunities to learn, create, and connect with professionals from across the sector.

Now we're thrilled to launch the second stage: the RuneScape Future Talent Game Jam, hosted by our partners at Into Games

Open to UK college and university students, as well as recent graduates, the challenge invites participants to create a game experience inspired by the spirit of RuneScape. Using a small cast of characters, a short journey, and a mysterious object, entrants are encouraged to craft something memorable, meaningful, and imaginative.

RuneScape turns 25 this year. And when you've been building something for that long, when millions of players around the world have grown up with your games, you start asking a very different kind of question. Not just what do you build next, but who do you build it with? This program is our answer to that, as we look to invest in the people who sit at the heart of our studio. We want to ensure that RuneScape and its worlds will continue to inspire and connect players for the next 25 years, just as they have for the last 25. - James Dobrowski, Senior VP of Product

There are some fantastic prizes on offer, including MSI laptops, PlayStation Plus passes, exclusive RuneScape 25th Anniversary merchandise, and the opportunity for the top teams to showcase their games at the Jagex offices later this year.
